Should it bug me...

that to see my doctor for an unscheduled sick visit (as in I didn't plan on getting sick) I have to call a week in advance, talk to her mean secretary, beg for an appointment that works with my schedule of schlepping kids around, pay $120-$160 (remember high deductible HSA plan here), wait 45 minutes past my appointment time to see the doctor, and get rushed out with a prescription never to hear from the office again?

'Cause it does.

Especially when I was able to drop into the Walgreen's clinic yesterday with no notice, wait 5 minutes to see a NP, get treated like a human being, pay $59, and walk away with a prescription for antibiotics (that I got for FREE at Publix!) and they called me today to see how I was feeling!

I mean, come on. I've been seeing my regular doctor for 3 years now. Don't you think I could get a little bit of love from her office? I guess that is asking a bit too much...

Oh. The next time I get sick I am coming to the ATL. We don't have that stuff here...

Yes, it should bug you.

I love the after-hours pediatric clinic in our neighborhood. They get you right in without an appointment, we're seen by the sweet-as-pie Dr. Sugarbaker (her real name,) and they call to check on us in a few days. And they just charge a regular copay.

I am always tempted to wait until after 5:00 pm to "discover" Evie is sick.

Hope you're better soon.

That would really irk me. So much so that I think I'd be finding a new doctor and let me old doctor know why.

That would bug me too. I have felt like that at the the regular Dr.'s office before. You wait forever and then they give your some RX and send you on your way.

That's awesome that Walgreen's has that!

Glad ya'll are on your way to feeling better!

We had a great time Sat. night! Thanks again for the invite!

Yes, it should bug you! I have felt the same way a time or two with my doctor. Sometimes it feels like the biggest waste of time and money.
