Total Truth Tuesday

Want me to be totally truthful today? Here you go.

I am SO over politics right now.

Not shocking I know but, people, I am done. Done, done, done.

I don't blog political things here because I just don't feel like it. It might lead some people to believe I don't have anything going on upstairs or that I don't care about important issues. I do. But, I am not so ridiculous to think that anyone who reads my blog is doing so to find out what I think about hot button issues.

You're here to listen to me tell stories about frightening children with livestock, right?

Yeah, I thought so.

But, today I have reached my limit in political posts, tweets, Facebook updates, etc. I am ready to move on past this. I'm ready for our country to STOP arguing. I am ready to stop sitting in front of TV news while surfing news sites on my computer. I am ready to stop obsessing over this news story or that featured article.

And so, tonight, I am going to vote. Then I'm turning off political news, chatter, articles, etc. I'm going to take my responsibility to vote seriously and then I'm moving on to something really important.

Like, you know, Halloween...

I'm SO with you. I've already cast my vote since I'll be working at the polls on election day. I wish November 4th would get here already. Today at the gym they had on MSNBC. There was a woman giving a play-by-play football version of the campaign. I wanted to throw my water bottle at the television.

I had a rare moment to myself today when Evie was napping, and I turned on Oprah. The political ads started right away, and I thought, just one more week to go... Thank God for Tivo.

Totally agree with you! We voted on Monday, and I am ready for next Tuesday to be over. All of the campaign ads on the commercials, putting down the other candidate and all of that mess.

Sorry the voting lines have been so long for you. Where do you vote?

We have about 5 locations in Forsyth, and I went after work the other night and we only waited about 15 min. I couldn't believe it after the stories I am hearing of all the lines. I guess b/c we have less people in Forsyth, or maybe no one is early voting in our area.

Just an FYI, if you vote, keep your sticker and show it at Shane's Rib Shack on Election day, and you get a free chicken finger meal, pretty cool.
