This is an engaging book that celebrates the relationship between a granddaughter and her grandma. We love it because of it's Hawaiian cultural theme and the beautiful story of a Tutu (Hawaiian for Grandma) and her granddaughter.
The illustrations are wonderfully colorful and soothing. The story is precious and always gets us a little teary eyed since it brings memories back of our own Tutu.
I love that it celebrates the beauty of Hawaiian tradition and includes some Hawaiian words and phrases. It's so important to us that the girls grow up with that essential part of their heritage woven into our daily lives and this accomplishes that in a beautiful and seamless way.
We picked this up at our local Barnes & Noble, or you can find it on Amazon as well. Be sure and check it out. You won't regret it!
