My Preschool Scientist

Kai: "What is inside your teeth?"

Mom: "You mean, my teeth? Do I have something in my teeth?"

Kai: "No, what is inside people's teeth. What are they made of. What is inside them?"

Mom: "Um...I don't know, why?"

Kai: "Forget it. What is inside grass?"

Mom: "Um...I don't know, water maybe? And other grass things?"

Kai: "Okay, well, what is inside water?"

Mom: "Fish and plants and other creatures."

Kai: "No, Mom. What is inside water? What is it made of?"

Yeah...I'm pretty stumped on that one. Any ideas for a preschool friendly answer? I think I am off to buy a microscope today and add a "What's Inside..." to our daily routine.
