What do you do when you spend a whole week getting ready for a yard sale that turns out to be the biggest let down ever? Why, you totally destroy something, of course!
We had planned to do a spring purge of our unneeded belongings and because of weather or advertising troubles or just some bad yard sale mojo it was a disaster. We knew the rest of what was left was going to end up on its way to Salvation Army but Thomas has a great idea for the cheap plates, planters, and other various ceramic items.
Destroy them!
We've been wanting to make some garden stones and so we thought we'd just destroy every last pot and plate and urn that we had left out to sell. It was more fun than I can even tell you and a great way to release all the frustration from the failed yard sale.
We ended up with three Gallon ZipLock bags filled with mosaic materials. And the girls got to smash things without getting in trouble. It was a win-win for all involved.
I'll post some pics of the Garden Stones when we make them later this week. In the meantime, enjoy the pics of the destruction!
