Works for Me Wednesday

This one is kind of related to a post I made last week.

I've found when life gets to be just a bit too intense, sometimes our family needs a break. We've started a new tradition of taking a family "time out" and getting away for a night.

No matter where you live you can take a mini-break to a hotel in your city, eat some international cuisine and pretend to be far, far away (while still being able to make it to school/work the next day).

Last week we took off to "India" and I'm looking forward to trying out a new location the next time. An inexpensive hotel with a pool and on-demand movies is sometimes just what the whole family needs to get recharged.

And, it's an awesome way to get the kids in practice for any future "real" trips!

So, that is what's working for me. Head over to Shannon's Dryer to see what is working for other moms!

Wow! Great idea, I love the thought of going to a different 'country'. We're definitely in need of some time away.

This is a great idea! Isn't it nice to get away----even if it's within your city limits?!?!?! Thanks for the reminder!

We've got several new hotels in our area, and I'm wanting to try out one or two this summer.

Great tip!
